The Promise to Procreate
~One of my lovely students recently witnessed the Crane Migration in Monte Vista and inspired this Spring contemplation~
“Our soul is completely aligned with the infinite intelligence and organizing power of the Universe” quote by Deepak Chopra.
The wonderous instinct that guides birds to migrate great distances to the exact place they nested in the past, following landmarks or even the sun or stars (!), memorizing routes, or detecting Earth’s magnetic field to orient them; to then seek a suitable place to rest and rebuild strength along the way is so infinitely intelligent!
Surely, too, we are being guided . . . .
Are you able to tune into the awareness that your soul already knows?
Sandhill Cranes have a high nest site fidelity, nesting in the same or similar places each year. They usually nest in small, isolated wetlands—such as marshes, bogs, and swales and tend to be secretive while nesting. During migration and winter, the family units group together.
Just as the cranes are responding to instinctive gatherings, groupings, and directions instilled in them over the millennia, we also have similar drives, motives, and movements that have proven to be incredibly beneficial to our predecessors, and are passed down to us through our genes.
Are you able to follow your internal directives?
And, just as all nature’s creatures live off the stores from the previous year, they’re now ready to replenish their resources from all that is offered in the Spring.
As you move from the ‘cave’ of Winter, are you ready to search for new life, new ‘greenery’?
Often times we may think we are separated from our animal brethren; yet our minds, as well as our bodies, have been resting down as they historically did when food was less available during the winter. In the depths of our resting minds may be an inkling of a seed (an ideal) within the womb of our consciousness.
Are you able to let go of the heaviness of winter, releasing any excess, while at the same time opening up to your ideals, gifts, and potential?
As the greater sunlight of the coming Spring reveals itself, you may notice how it enlivens the mind’s quest for new and productive ways as well as invigorates the body.
Have you recently felt an impulse of life, growth, creation . . . . forces that synchronize with the perfect functioning of Nature? Have you listened for the magnetic pull?
