Karona Silver Fine ArtPAULA MILLER

During my first career as a non profit consultant, I painted to escape my left-brain responsibilities. When I retired to Colorado in 2011, painting became my new career. Soon after, I started showing in solo and group shows and painting commissions. I now show my work in a number of galleries and businesses.

In 2016 I created a workshop called "Courage in Creativity". In this class, we work with a variety of brushes, tools, techniques and mediums. More importantly, we address the fear and anxiety that often comes with attempting any form of creativity. I now teach my class around the country and in art centers throughout Colorado,

Painting has brought me peace and joy.

To give back, I often teach my workshops as fundraisers and when I participate in shows, I donate at least 10% to a local community charitable organization.

Outside of my time painting, I'm working on a board to create the Pagosa Springs Arts Council with a mission to develop public/private partnerships which will further arts and culture in our community. My professionally printed cards and journals sell in a number of stores and I've also been featured in the June edition (Pg. 70) of Art Blend Magazines “Top Artists to Watch”.
